Dear readers,
I have the pleasure of introducing you to Valentine Anciaux, the co-founder of PsychoEducation.be, she is also a psycho-educator.
We don't know each other much, but I have heard several times about his wonderful project: Psycho Education, created with Stéphanie de Schaetzen. “Everything is fluid when you are in your place” this phrase which brings together the why of everything they offer! In fact, via their platform they offer training, conferences, tools, a podcast, an eshop and much more! A gold mine for parents, educators,… and for yourself!
They have recently also launched their Gazette, filled with “keys to achieving your dreams”! I read it with great interest, and I confirm, it is full of advice! And my little finger whispers to me that you will find this great Gazette in the next Pinky Chips packages!
So, I wanted to know more about her and her journey! Good reading!
Here is our exchange, I hope it will make you want to visit their platform, and discover the quality and diversity of their tools:
Hello Valentine,
Can you introduce yourself, and tell us a little about your journey until the creation of Psycho Education?
In secondary school, I was lucky enough to be able to spend a few years at boarding school. I decided I had given in and it was time to have some fun! Every week we came up with a plan to spice up everyday life: putting cif in the fountain, squatting in the attics, stealing the keys from the educs, organizing mud fights... or cow dung... It was great!
For the sake of social exploration, I decided to leave the boarding school that I loved very much.
I found myself in a big school in which no teacher knew my first name... I dropped out... doing a lot of music to keep me busy... I repeated my year.
Then, my father sent me on a pilgrimage to Lourdes so that I could think about my future... The miracle worked, I brilliantly completed my secondary education in “childhood education” technique. I met passionate and caring teachers there who pushed me to surpass myself and I learned at that moment that learning was really great! I continued my studies in psychology at Marie Haps followed by a master's degree in Quebec.
Can you describe to us in more depth what Psycho Education is?
Psychoeducation.be transmits with energy to an enterprising community which will transmit in turn. Like psychoeducation, transmission to the group(s) is done in a fun and dynamic way, giving energy to adults to help children and adolescents.
Concretely, Psychoeducation.be are:
– Online and face-to-face training
– An online conference platform
– An e-shop
– A publishing house
– A conference show on emotional intelligence
– General public conferences
How did you come up with the idea of creating this platform?
We saw in our consultations that both children, adolescents and parents were helpless in the face of academic failure, anxiety, demotivation, lack of self-confidence, behavioral problems. In training, the same findings were present for childcare professionals. Lots of theory, but little practice...
We have decided to provide an offer accessible to all budgets to find concrete answers to the challenges of parenthood today.
And your association with Stéphanie, can you tell us more? Did you already know each other before? Was it obvious to create this project together?
I always say that she is “the woman of my life”… We met in a multidisciplinary center, Stéphanie was 10 years older than me and 3 children, I was ready to conquer the world with all my ideas… Stéphanie I am more managerial and rational, I am more creative and enthusiastic, we are both driven by the same cause, the two of us make a pair!
What are the challenges you encounter in your entrepreneurial adventure?
We were mainly face-to-face before covid, we bounced back with a digital offering of our activities.
The big challenge for me is to give up on realizing all my ideas… (I have too many…)
Do social networks have a great importance in your communication?
Huge! We have a large community that has followed our adventures since the beginning! It's also a way for us to transmit content to a wider audience.
